Lawrence King/Jeffrey Fashion Cares Point Scholarship
Jeffrey Fashion Cares created the Lawrence King/Jeffrey Fashion Cares scholarship in the memory of Lawrence King, the Oxnard, California 15 year-old gay male murdered in February 2008 in a hate crime.
Jeffrey Fashion Cares is one of the nation's most unique annual events - supporting 4 organizations and raising millions of dollars - 90% of which goes directly to the non profits who impact LGBT and HIV issues. Jeffrey Fashion Cares’ mission is to support the LGBT community at every level through these charities: Lambda Legal, GMHC, Hetrick-Martin Institute, and Point Foundation. The support of Jeffrey Fashion Cares enables these groups to continue their important and often life saving work – from providing youth and education services, to legal and political support, to HIV awareness and medical services.
